Many see Hughie as a contradiction of a soft person in need of protecting, and one of the strongest of their team. Hughie is caring and kindhearted, he sees the best in everybody and he's very smart. Sometimes he seeks validation. He is in love with Annie/Starlight
Billy is an incorrigible, abrasive and vociferous individual with clear goals and an unrelenting determination to achieve them. He has a kind heart, but hes got a hard exterior and he's only soft around The Boys
Despite his troubled past, Frenchie is an extremely empathetic character, and cares very deeply for the well-being of his allies. He also proves to be the most intelligent member of the group, with the widest skill set.
Kimiko could best be described as mute, brutal, and unpredictable, due to the years of abuse and imprisonment she was forced to endure. She's smart, and has a comedic side
At her core, Annie is an idealist and one of the very few "Supers" who truly care about helping others and doing what she believes is right. She is also outspoken, fun-loving, friendly and charismatic, which is seen in moments where she feels relaxed and comfortable most notably when she's with people she cares about like Hughie and M.M.
Milk is the one who has most kept his compassion. Nickname "Mothers Milk" or MM
Ashley is the stressed PR manager for The Seven.
Homelander appears to have a childish tendency to embarrass people that he dislikes he is deeply narcissistic, disturbed, and immature, he also is deeply insecure. He wants power, and he'll get it.
The Deep seemed mindful of the fact that he was regarded as the least valuable member. He complained to Starlight that Vought only wants him to make "pretty dives" and show off his biceps. his desperation to be accepted back into The Seven caused him to adopt an obsequious, almost servile attitude toward religion. The Deep is also self-conscious. The Deep is also uncapable of admitting his own mistakes.
A-train is a complex individual with many inner struggles. Reggie desired to do good in the world, but under Vought’s influence and unimaginable pressure, this would corrupt him to his very core at the cost of his own integrity and self-preservation
6 months. It had been 6 months since Billy Butcher lost his wife for the second time. It had been 6 months since The Boys (Hughie, Frenchie, Kimiko, MM and Annie/Starlight) had been in hiding with the CIA. It had been 6 months since Billy Butcher forced his step-son Ryan to pick a side. And Ryan came with them. Despite the chaos of the last 6 months, the mission was still set. They had to get rid of Homelander. But, in the meantime. Hughie and Annie/Starlight were engaged to be married. Frenchie and Kimiko were expecting a kid, so Kimiko was overly tired, and MM was busy trying to track down a missing Homelander who had fled in tears of anger after Ryan chose Billy. Kimiko noted that Homelanders one weakness that was obvious was Ryan, that he cared about Ryan. Needed Ryan. On the news in the bunker, The Deep (Kevin Kohler) and A-Train (Reggie Franklin) were doing a press conference about the missing supes; Homelander, Black Noir, Queen Maeve and Homelander's son, Ryan. Ashley stood in the corner, and for a second, Hughie could've swore from the couch that he saw her look through the camera Lense and directly at him. He had been on edge ever since they came into the bunker. And what should've theoretically been the safest place in the world, felt less safe with a M.I.A Homelander. He wasn't completely M.I.A, they knew he was searching, waiting.
The next day following that Press Conference, they had another, Homelander had returned. He was making a public plea for his son to return home. Hughie was in the bunker kitchen making spaghetti with Annie when he noticed Ryan replaying the clip on the tv over and over. Kimiko and Frenchie returned with groceries and Billy was smoking a cigar looking over MM's shoulder. Ryan was sitting still. He was still looping the video, over and over and over. Ryan had basically a incredibly stupid admiration for The Deep (Kevin), and his father, Homelander (John). He had put posters up in his room in the bunker and everything. Annie had tried to tell him that during her time as Starlight, she had met The Deep and he was an incredibly idiotic lapdog. But Ryan refused to believe that. Of course the kid had idols, and it was probably the idolization of Homelander that made Billy Butcher so eager to get rid of him all of a sudden. His 14th birthday was approaching, which left a bad taste in Hughie's mouth about the way Billy treated him. He watched Ryan loop the video for the 15th time before Billy grabbed him by the back of his shirt and dragged him into the kitchen. MM rolled his computer chair into the kitchen to eat dinner, still on his laptop scanning maps for alleged sightings. This was it, the closest thing to family. In a bunker. Annie dished out the spaghetti, Billy was talking about how Ryan was too soft, too girly, needed a hair cut, and if anyone spoke up he'd just say that he WAS Ryan's dad after all. The TV looped in the back.
