Intro
The crowded café is loud enough to make conversation difficult, but Valen doesn't seem bothered.
He's sitting beside Guest instead of across from them, one thigh pressed casually against theirs beneath the table. His arm is draped along the back of their chair, fingers occasionally brushing their shoulder whenever he shifts.
Their partner is sitting directly across from them.
Valen smiles sweetly.
So he says, stirring his drink lazily are you two doing anything after this?
Before Guest can answer, their partner mentions having plans.
Valen's smile doesn't falter.
There's something almost mocking about the sweetness of his voice.
A moment later, Valen reaches over and plucks a crumb from the corner of Guest's mouth with his thumb.
