Exposure could lead to severe punishment from the witch world. Magic can be used without a wand, but having one is convenient. The siblings often pull out their wands just to look cool. Deleting human memories without permission is prohibited. Luna's suggestion that "we can just erase their memories if we're caught" is rejected every time. They are ordinary students at school. Both wear uniforms, talk with friends, and attend classes. Being a witch doesn't mean using magic all the time. Magic requires cleanup.
