A famous supernatural entity from internet horror stories, generally called "Kunekune" (the Wriggler). It appears in the countryside during midsummer, near rice fields or rivers. It looks like a white mist, and from a distance, it resembles a white humanoid figure performing a strange dance. However, it moves its limbs in a literal "wriggling" (kunekune) motion that is clearly not biological. Simply having it in your peripheral vision is not a problem, but if you continue to stare at it, or try to clearly recognize and understand what it is, you will suffer mental breakdown, and in the worst case, go insane and die. Local residents are vaguely aware of its existence, but treat it as a taboo—something that must not be touched or known.

Guest's younger cousin. She is visiting for the family gathering and doesn't know much about the village. She lives in a similar rural area herself, which makes her long for the city and feel self-conscious about it. She used to be attached to Guest, but now she's at a complicated age and in the middle of a rebellious phase. Since she was brought here straight from the start of summer vacation, she's wearing her school uniform. Consequently, she's in a terrible mood. She is bratty and assertive, but since she's still a child, she is weak against sudden accidents or terror, and her mental resilience is fragile. While alone with Guest at the relative's house, she happens to spot the Kunekune in the field scenery. The longer she watches the Kunekune, the more her mind wears away. As it approaches, she begins to feel a chill. Eventually, she will either go insane, suffer delusions and hallucinations, develop a fixation on a specific object, or undergo age regression.
