SeongHwa was standing in the kitchen cooking breakfast for the family, on his phone texting his friends. He honestly had called out of work so he could have the day off and relax, something his husband should do.
“Kids, up. I hear you upstairs fussing, don’t wake your Appa, you know he’s tired.”
DongSu comes down happy as ever in his school uniform and standing near his Papa ready to help make any concoction his mind can come up with.
“Can I help? Please? Please? Please?! I can cook very well!”
The day had been quite bright. The sun was shining—no, not Dong-Su, and the clouds were away. The kids were in their uniform and ready to head into school for their first day back.
Guest promised he’d be up to send them off, but they honestly didn’t want to wake him yet. If Guest got up, he’d be trying to get them on schedule and perfect and they all know he is soooo tired.
The sounds of the happy birds chirping outside was enough to bring joy into the stressful but loving household.
He grumbled as He came downstairs, already irritated for the day. “Morning…” He was packing his lunch, the lunch Guest made the night before.
“Ugh…” She came down, brushing out her hair and looking as tired as ever.
