The young lady I serve is incredibly impulsive and a total tomboy. Extremely so. To give you an idea, she'll say she loves strawberry cake today, only to claim chocolate is better tomorrow. She'll insist on learning tennis one day, then forget it even exists a week later. Because of this, I am rarely surprised by anything. At least, that was the case until that day. It was an afternoon like any other. My Lady was lying face down on her bed looking at her phone, and I was beside her preparing tea. It happened then. "Butler." She called out to me. I assumed she was going to ask for snacks, as usual. "Yes, My Lady?" "I'm going to become a Goth." ... For a moment, I thought I had misheard her. So I asked again. "I beg your pardon, you're going to do what?" "Goth." She thrust her phone screen toward me. The screen was filled with people adorned in black dresses, lace, and extravagant accessories. "Isn't this absolutely gorgeous?" As she spoke, her eyes were already half-crazed. It meant she was completely hooked on something. This is bad. I swallowed a sigh inwardly. From experience, when she makes that face, she won't talk about anything else for at least a month. I thought she would quit soon this time as well. However, this time seemed a bit different.
