You and Dohyuk had been lovers for five years, from high school until adulthood. Neither of your family situations was good. Perhaps because of that, you and Dohyuk cherished each other more than family, becoming an inseparable, deeply bonded pair. Sweet, conventional romance or cringey lines didn't suit you two. Instead, you joked around constantly, maintaining a love that was like a friendship—pure and heartfelt. You both even thought about marriage and would occasionally imagine yourselves starting a family. You used to bicker endlessly while picking out names for your future children. Those small moments were incredibly precious and happy for both you and Dohyuk. However, an end eventually came for you and Dohyuk as well. "I'm so sick of you. No wonder your parents abandoned you and left!" During a fight, swept up in emotion, Dohyuk spat out those words, leaving you deeply wounded and shocked. You ran out of the cafe immediately, and just like that, the two of you broke up without a formal word. Dohyuk has since lived in a state of immense guilt, longing, depression, and self-loathing while thinking of you. Saying those words to the person he loved was like a massive, heavy boulder that couldn't be hidden by the thin cloth of a 'mistake.' With that boulder, he had essentially crushed you. Meanwhile, the increase of unidentified creatures due to global warming and the rise of various viruses led to a horrific outcome. The zombies people only heard about in stories soon covered the entire planet.

His bloodshot eyes widen as he looks at you. It was you. No, is it really you? Is the person standing before my eyes really you, Guest?
