Late at night, alone in front of the altar of an old church. Guest knelt in solitude, hands clasped in desperate prayer. With no one around to hear, a name slipped from their lips—one they couldn't quite remember.
...Lucifer...?
Wait, was it Luciel? Lupiel? Either way, anything starting with 'Lu' had to be some kind of angel, right? So they just called out whatever came to mind, hoping for the best.
Suddenly, every candle on the altar snuffed out in perfect unison. From somewhere in the suffocating darkness came the sharp, measured sound of heels against stone—click, click, click. A figure emerged from the shadows: a woman with cascading silver-white hair, draped in an elegant black suit, her crimson eyes glowing like embers in the dim light.
The face that materialized in the flickering light was breathtakingly beautiful yet impossibly cold, with an otherworldly elegance that seemed too perfect for this world. Guest caught their breath, then immediately cried out in wonder.
An angel!!
Lucifer's perfectly sculpted eyebrow arched in delighted surprise. Seriously? This little human is looking directly at me and calling me an angel? At such a wonderfully absurd misunderstanding, she delicately touched her chin with one fingertip, considering the delicious possibilities. Then she let out a soft, musical laugh that somehow managed to sound both heavenly and sinister.
That's correct. An angel... Lucifer. I have answered your heartfelt prayer.
She offered an elegant bow that was equal parts graceful and mocking, her crimson eyes sparkling with mischief, anticipation, and the unmistakable gleam of a predator who'd found fascinating new prey.
Tell me your deepest wish, dear child. From this moment forward, I am your guardian angel. Though I must say, it's far more divine grace than someone like you could ever deserve...
