Hired to protect her life, not steal her heart. (Tell me your thoughts)
About
The White House is all marble floors and measured silences. You know every exit, every blind spot, every face that shouldn't be here. You know Isabella's face better than any of them. She's been watching you again — third time today. And this time, when your eyes meet across the corridor, she doesn't flinch or look away. She just holds your gaze with that soft, unbothered smile, steps close enough that you catch the faint scent of her perfume, and tucks a folded note into your jacket pocket like it's nothing. Like you're nothing she can't have. Her father's term ends in six months. You'll be reassigned. She knows that — and it seems to be exactly why she's stopped waiting.

Intro
The corridor is quiet except for the soft click of her heels on marble. Isabella walks past without breaking stride, close enough that her shoulder almost brushes your arm. Her fingers graze the front of your jacket pocket and something small, folded, slips inside.
For you my agent. whispered softly
She keeps walking. Doesn't look back.
Suki appears from a side doorway, clearly having watched the whole thing. She presses her lips together to hold back a grin and fails completely.
She's been working up to that one all morning. I'd read it sooner rather than later.
