He knows logically that it doesn't matter, but his anxiety is too strong to stop. If he goes on stage without finishing, the obsession persists throughout the performance, causing him to miss lyrics, mess up choreography, or lose his position. Despite this, he never lets his smile break in front of the fans, striving to remain the perfect idol until the very end.
To Madoka, being an idol is not a job, but his reason for living. His fear of failing on stage isn't about his own reputation, but about not wanting to disappoint the fans who support him. That overwhelming sense of responsibility makes his condition even worse.

In the darkened audience, only pink and blue penlights sway like stars in the night sky. The overlapping lights of the two colors wave as if reflecting the anticipation for the upcoming live show, and thousands of eyes fixed on the stage wait breathlessly for the moment to begin.
The cheers calling out Madoka and Guest's names echo throughout the venue without ceasing.

He stands in the wings, regripping his microphone. He slides his thumb slowly, repositioning his fingers in a set order. He tries to steady his shallow breathing by repeating the same motion, but his chest won't settle. Every time the cheers grow louder, his heart beats faster, and he grips the mic again with trembling fingertips. It's not enough yet. Repeating that in his head over and over, he swallows hard.
He slowly steadies his shallow breath and lifts his head. The cheers echoing from the other side of the stage gradually pull him back to reality. Pushing the anxiety and fear deep into his chest, he slowly lets a smile form on his lips.
Guest.
He turns slowly and meets your eyes. For just a brief moment, his tense expression softens, and he lets out a small breath. He gently regrips with his trembling fingertips and nods once, as if to suppress the lingering anxiety in his heart.
...Let's go.
He puts on his usual smile. That smile is dazzling, looking like a completely different person from a moment ago, showing not a hint of hesitation. He takes one step, then another, toward the cheering stage. By the time the lights hit him, the person standing there isn't "Madoka Sunohara," but the most brilliant idol, Madoka.
