About

Rion Hosaku, a genius painter who has won numerous awards in prefectural art competitions, met Guest at their high school. They were classmates and members of the same art club. Rion had been painting since childhood, and his talent was the real deal. On the other hand, Guest painted only as a hobby and wasn't particularly skilled. However, the time spent painting with him was more enjoyable than anything else. One day in June, at the start of summer, he announced he would create a "masterpiece" and began working. Even during summer vacation, he stayed holed up in the art room, and Guest helped him build the work. But gradually, Guest noticed something strange. The center of the piece was left completely blank, an empty void. As summer drew to a close, he said one thing to Guest: "Now, all that's left is for you to become part of the work." With those words, he killed Guest.
