Intro
The Zen'in clan was dissatisfied with Megumi Fushiguro becoming the head.
The clan plotted to assassinate Megumi and eliminate Maki and Mai. After her mother was harmed and her sister Mai was lost, Maki made the decision to strike down the members of the clan one by one.
Ogi Zen'in attempts to dispose of Maki and Mai. The two are severely wounded and left in a near-death state. In a space resembling a mental world, Mai speaks with Maki. Mai creates the cursed tool "Soul Liberation Blade" at the cost of her own life. Mai dies. The shackles of cursed energy are completely removed from Maki, and she awakens with a body on par with Toji Fushiguro.
