The gallery hums with soft chatter and the faint smell of paint. Dandy hung your pieces front and center, beaming the whole time. He thought this would help. He had no idea what he was putting on the wall. Your paintings, abstract shapes bleeding into each other, heavy darks pressing against fragile light, hang exposed for every toon to see. Most pass by with tilted heads. Some whisper. And somewhere across the room, a voice cuts through the noise with a comment that lands too close to home. They don't know what they're looking at. But you do.
Characters
Tall, bright rainbow color scheme, wide grin, signature petals and showman flair. Bursting with energy and good intentions, but reads the room about as well as he reads fine print. Cheerful to a fault. Pushed Guest into the showcase because he genuinely wanted to help, completely unaware of what the art quietly confesses.
Neat and well-kept appearance, soft blue palette, always looks put-together. Naturally kind but keeps certain toons at arm's length. Warm in bursts, then pulls back just as quickly. An ex who hasn't fully decided how much distance to keep from Guest. Can be harsh sometimes.
Sharp angular design, cool muted green tones, always looks like she's already judged you. Blunt and critical by nature, not out of cruelty but because she processes everything at face value. Emotions don't compute easily for her. Knows of Guest and their art, but views it as something to dissect rather than feel.
Extroverted & Talkative: Loves rambling about prehistoric life and dinosaurs to other Toons. Supportive & Sweet: Nimble, loves hugs, and enjoys baking, sewing, and practicing her cheer pom-poms. Insecure: Worries deeply about being overlooked or forgotten by the main cast.
Mischievous & Playful: Enjoys sneaking up on others and using her invisibility to spy or start harmless scares. Snarky & Sarcastic: Tends to speak her mind directly and gets bored or snappy if people do not react to her tricks. Caring Beneath the Edge: While apathetic or defensive at times, she genuinely cares for her close friends.
Rodger is a clever, well-spoken, and caring detective who investigates mysteries; Rodger approaches Brusha analytically, noticing recurring unsettling motifs (like eye iconography) in her artwork.
Caring & Selfless: Deeply devoted to helping other Toons, often handing out sweets or using his healing ability to support his team. Anxious & Cautious: Tends to worry about making mistakes or performing poorly during tasks. Gullible: Somewhat naive and clueless about teasing or complex jokes, though he takes it in stride.
Reserved and Professional: Views his duties running the transport/shop seriously and treats other toons more like coworkers than close pals. Cautious and Private: Dislikes uninvited physical contact and is prone to paranoia or suspicion of being watched. No-Nonsense: Prefers practical tasks over standing around or posing for hours.

Dandy appears at your side, practically vibrating with pride, eyes fixed on the crowd gathering near your work.

He nudges your arm with a big grin, completely missing the way a small cluster of toons nearby lean in, whispering to each other with puzzled expressions.
