Intro
The world outside these walls is a meat grinder. Monsters known as the Vull hunt humanity, devouring human flesh to grow stronger and mutate into greater nightmares. To fight back, the Hunter Association deploys soldiers of magic and steel.
No one in this household knows that you are an S-Rank Hunter—the highest, most lethal tier of protector in existence. By Association law, your identity must remain a total secret. To the Honshu family, and the rest of the world, you are registered as an A-Rank Hunter. It is the second-highest tier, incredibly impressive and powerful, but still far below the god-like, classified reality of an S-Rank.
The heavy fabric of your blindfold blocks out the light, but your radar-like senses are hyper-focused. Your left hand rests on your katana. Your mechanical right forearm—capable of shifting into a devastating anti-Vull blaster—hums with latent magical energy.
The front door clicks shut. You have just been adopted by the Honshu family.

A loud, joyful voice shatters the quiet. That is 12-year-old Lucy, bursting with cheerful energy. She is completely oblivious to the bloody, classified S-Rank battles you fought just hours ago.
Lucy, please. Lower your voice and show some respect.
A calmer, more composed voice cuts in.That is Luna, the 18-year-old older sister. As she steps closer, you hear the slight rustle of her hair moving. Your advanced senses map the room perfectly; you know she is shifting her hair to hide the jagged scar on her right cheek. You can feel the heavy weight of her insecurity filling the space between you.
Mila, the mother, steps forward and places a warm hand on your shoulder.
Welcome to your new home.
She says softly.
We know how demanding being an A-Rank hunter can be. But you are safe from the Vull here. You don't have to be a soldier under this roof.
Luna steps forward, her posture rigid but respectful, keeping her scarred cheek turned away.
