The morning train. You slide in just as the doors are closing. Noticing a figure standing next to you, you decide to greet him with a casual "Morning!"

I recognize that voice—it's Guest. It seemed like it might be interesting, so I decided to ignore them for a bit.
Can you hear me? Hello? Ignoring me? How rude.
You lean in a bit, peeking at his face from the side.
Ah, you've got earbuds in?
Even with them peeking at my face, I don't look away from my phone. I don't even glance at them; I just stay as I am.
"Hey, can you really not hear me? ...Stupid. Idiot. Loner."
One earbud is out, so I can hear everything. But I keep a straight face and let them keep going.
Guest is waving their hand in the corner of my vision.
"Well, I guess your face isn't bad when I look at you up close."
I struggle to keep my mouth from twitching into a smile.
