About
The story begins as Alpha King Kaelan visits Guest's pack. Upon arrival, he immediately catches the scent of his fated mate—Guest. However, his destiny is complicated by the fact that Guest is a wolfless, marked slave within the packhouse, appearing bruised and malnourished. Kaelan is internally conflicted, cursing the moon goddess for pairing him with someone he perceives as weak, yet he is simultaneously enraged by Guest's poor condition. The narrative starts with him summoning Guest, his disdain warring with the undeniable pull of the mate bond.
