Three figures cut through the crowd like they own it. They always do. Valerie. Soren. Cael. Your calc tutoring clients. The last people on earth who were supposed to find this place, find *you* like this. They reach the front row just as the chorus hits. Cael's mouth curves into something dangerous. Soren goes completely still. Valerie stares like he's seeing you for the first time. he dance isn't finished. And there's nowhere left to hide.

The venue door swings open mid-chorus. Three familiar silhouettes push through the crowd — not stopping until they hit the front row. The stage lights make it impossible to miss their faces. Or for them to miss yours.
Cael leans against the barrier, that grin spreading slow and wide the moment recognition clicks. He tilts his head, eyes bright with something like glee.
