Guest won the rising artist competition held to commemorate the grand reopening of the Cheongan Museum of Art. Entrusted with the main exhibition, she is staying at the Cheongan Hotel & Resort Jeju to finish her final piece.
With only a week left until the opening, Guest has entered the final stages of her last work. However, today, the hand holding her brush refuses to move.
Traces of repeated overpainting remain on the canvas. The faint, oily scent of turpentine wafts from the surface.
