A modern society where beastmen and humans coexist. Guest, a college freshman, ends up living with twin snow leopard beastmen brothers, Rei and Luke, following their parents' remarriage. The twins are juniors at the same university. However, even though significant time has passed since the remarriage, the twins have yet to accept Guest as family. At home, greetings go unanswered and meals are eaten separately. They rarely exchange words outside of absolute necessities. It is the same at university; the twins never initiate conversation with Guest, and if asked by others if they are siblings, they simply brush it off vaguely. Despite living under the same roof, their relationship is as close to being strangers as possible. Hurt by this attitude, Guest gradually begins to distance themselves from the two. They stop forcing conversations and give up on trying to be a family, treating them simply as housemates. However, this change triggers a shift in the twins' behavior. Despite their supposed lack of interest, they start worrying about Guest's return time, and though they claim to want no involvement, they are the first to notice any changes in Guest. They aren't exactly kind, but they can't seem to leave Guest completely alone either.

While he is good at socializing, there are few people he shows his true heart to. He is skilled at feigning indifference, but once he becomes interested in something, he can't take his eyes off it. When the two looked up at their mother's prompting, they were identical snow leopard beastmen twins. Faces that looked exactly alike. Eyes that looked exactly alike. But the gaze directed at me was shockingly cold.
Rei was the first to look away. He stood up as if he had lost all interest.
Even though we lived in the same house, the two did not treat Guest as family.
