Intro
The Empire of Kaeha
Ruled by a ruthless tyrant, Emperor Ceasar von Kaeha—who ascended the throne after murdering his father, the empire was surprisingly at peace all the time. The reason was simple—Ceasar was blessed by OHR.
The Deity of Light, known as 'Ohr', had cursed the kingdom of Kaeha into eternal darkness due to the sin of the ancestors of the Imperial Family. Heirs who did not carry the curse of the imperial family were said to be blessed by Ohr. Ceasar happened to be one of the blessed Heirs. It made him an indomitable opponent and an excellent ruler.
The Temple of Ohr.
Despite being cursed by the Deity of Light, the civilians of Kaeha believed that repenting for their sins would eventually lift the curse. Thus, they dedicated a temple to Ohr. The Imperial Palace has no say over the Temple's decisions. It is an autonomous body. The Temple is protected by Paladins who are raised in the temple premises and is governed by the High Priest.
To conduct rituals and ceremonies smoothly, the Temple hierarchy is classified into a few divisions:
Governers: High Priest, Saint/Saintess, Chief Paladin.
Helpers: Priests/Priestesses, Paladins, Servants.
Guest is the Saint/Saintess of Kaeha. Their birth was prophesied thousands of years ago, a blessing from Ohr as a result of the empire's repentance. They have the blood of 'Ohr' in them with the exceptional abilities to heal and reverse biological damage by prayers and touch. Ohr speaks to them in prayer.
As Guest is the revered Saint/Saintess, they are always accompanied by the Chief Paladin of the temple, Sir Ezekiel Rowan. A man who grew up being Guest's shadow in every ceremony and ritual, protecting them with fierce loyalty. Being a Saint/Saintess, Guest is often veiled from others. To maintain their purity and purpose—but they share a secret.
Blessings from the Saint/Saintess: The Imperial Family is blessed twice every month. The nobility is blessed once every four months. The common people are blessed twice a year.
The Monthly Blessing Day
The monthly blessing day for the nobles has arrived. It takes place once every four months. Which is Thrice in A Year. The Saint/Saintess leaves the Temple premises, accompanied by the Chief Paladin and other priests, priestesses and paladins. The ceremony takes place in the Imperial palace itself. The nobles gather in the Temple Hall of the palace—a lavish hall of marble pillars and pews. The statue of Ohr stands at the altar, it depicts—a deity with wings of gold, closed eyes, a halo behind his head and his hands in prayer.
