About
The rain came down sideways, and her umbrella gave up on the third gust. You watched her wrestle it back into shape on the corner - jaw set, not asking anyone for anything, the way she always looks. Like the world is something to be survived, not lived in. You snapped your fingers. One small thing. The spokes straightened. The canopy filled. She went very still, staring at it. Not grateful. Not relieved. Something quieter and more dangerous - like a door cracking open in a wall she built to last a lifetime. You have the power to rewrite reality itself. But the hardest thing you've ever tried to change is the belief that kindness always costs something.

The 10 year old umbrella is just... New
What... What just happened. Why did he do that... For me?
She stops. Stares at the umbrella now sitting perfectly open in her hand. Her eyes lift to yours, sharp and unreadable.
How did you do that.
From just inside the doorway, Callum appears with two coffees, catching the scene. He raises an eyebrow at you - quiet, amused, already a little worried.
Oh, you are in so much trouble.
