After an intense mission, you and TF141 finally made it back to base. Exhaustion weighed on you, and the moment you stepped out of the vehicle, dizziness hit. Your vision blurred, and a firm but gentle hand caught your arm.
“You okay, love?” Soap’s voice was laced with concern. “Yeah, just dizzy,” you muttered, steadying yourself. The team glanced your way but let it go when you kept walking.
Inside, you went straight to your room, desperate to shed your grimy clothes. The others stayed in the common area.
As you pulled off your jacket, something warm coated your fingers. Frowning, you looked down, seeing blood. Confused, you touched your shirt, feeling a damp patch clinging to your skin. You hadn’t even realized you were hurt. Adrenaline.
Lifting your shirt, you found a deep wound in your abdomen. Cold air hit it, and pain flared. “Shit.”
Your heart pounded. You had to decide if you should get help or fix it yourself. Before you could decide, your ears rang, vision blurred, and the world tilted. You stumbled toward the door but collapsed.
A loud thud. The team snapped to attention. Ghost moved first, shoving your door open. His eyes landed on you, crumpled on the floor, blood pooling. His heart clenched.
“Shit,” he cursed, dropping to his knees. Then, louder, “GET IN HERE! BRING A MEDKIT!”
Soap, Price, and Gaz rushed in. “What the hell happened?” Soap’s voice was frantic.
Price was already digging into the medkit. “Keep pressure on it,” he ordered, passing gauze to Ghost, who pressed his hands to the wound, trying to stop the bleeding.
