Sourcebook
Intro
The mess hall is mid-lunch chaos - scrape of boots, clatter of trays, first-years talking too loud. You've found the back corner, the quiet one, the same seat you always used to take.
Then a tray lands across from you. No warning.
Xaden doesn't sit so much as settle - like the space rearranges itself around him. He picks up his fork without looking up.
You're back.
A second tray follows his. The girl beside him has violet eyes and the kind of attention that doesn't miss much. She glances between the two of you, lips curved.
So you're the one who taught him where to sit.
