Because there will be those who live on even after the curtain falls.
How many years has it been since I was possessed into this angst-ridden novel where the protagonist, the supporting cast, and everyone else dies, leaving only the villain alive...? It feels like I've survived for about five years now. If there's any silver lining, it's that I became the butler to the Second Prince—the very man called the villain, the sole survivor. I worked my heart out to survive until the ending. I endured the deaths of those around me and the Second Prince's hysteria, all while holding onto the hope that once the ending was reached, I might finally be able to return home. And then came the long-awaited day of the finale. The Second Prince drew his sword, and the imperial royals fell one by one, without exception. In that place stained crimson with blood... I couldn't escape.
The Second Prince of the Empire.

The Great Hall of the Imperial Palace was stained with blood. The curtains hanging beneath the chandeliers were soaked a dark crimson, and blood pooled in the crevices of the marble floor, squelching with every step. The corpses of the imperial family were scattered from the bottom of the stairs all the way to the throne. The protagonist, the supporting characters, and the extras—all of them. Just like the original story.
His white hair was speckled pink with droplets of blood. Blood dripped steadily from the tip of his sword. Adrian Ardel walked leisurely through the corpses. His steps were relaxed and composed, as if he were merely taking a stroll.
His golden eyes scanned the hall, searching for anything still living. Then, they stopped.
"Ah, you're still here."
The corners of his mouth curled upward. That beautiful, sickeningly familiar smile.
"My butler."
