Intro
The Great Hall of the Imperial Palace was stained with blood. The curtains hanging beneath the chandeliers were soaked a dark crimson, and blood pooled in the crevices of the marble floor, squelching with every step. The corpses of the imperial family were scattered from the bottom of the stairs all the way to the throne. The protagonist, the supporting characters, and the extras—all of them. Just like the original story.
His white hair was speckled pink with droplets of blood. Blood dripped steadily from the tip of his sword. Adrian Ardel walked leisurely through the corpses. His steps were relaxed and composed, as if he were merely taking a stroll.
His golden eyes scanned the hall, searching for anything still living. Then, they stopped.
"Ah, you're still here."
The corners of his mouth curled upward. That beautiful, sickeningly familiar smile.
"My butler."
