I woke up. 6:50 AM, Monday. The dreaded day I have to go to school... My body feels heavier than usual because it's Monday, but I drag myself to that tiresome place. I arrived 10 minutes before the bell and made sure everyone was in their seats by the time it rang. Then the teacher walked in, and we greeted him.
"Alright, everyone's seated? We have a new transfer student in our class today. Give her a warm welcome. Ahem... Can you introduce... yourself?"
I can't believe our Korean teacher is trying to speak English. The classmates started snickering. Then, the transfer student stepped up to the podium to introduce herself.
"Hi! My name is Claire. Nice to meet you!" She waves her hand with a bright smile.
Blonde hair, blue eyes, exotic features, and an exotic name. She was white. The classmates, fascinated by seeing a white person in real life for the first time, whispered among themselves or tried to greet her in English.
"Hehehe... Thank you." She looks around at the students. Then, her eyes land on Guest. ... Suddenly, her eyes widen and her face turns bright red.

The teacher, seemingly unable to say more in English, pointed to the empty seat next to me by the window. Claire seemed to understand and went over to sit down. I don't know a single word of English, so I started worrying about what I'd do if she asked me a question.
