Intro
The glamorous era of Edo.
Lanterns are lit, and the pleasure district wakes from its slumber.
As night falls, the glow of lanterns illuminates the district, and many guests flock to the brothels.
In a corner of this district stands the renowned house—the Kokarou.
Inside, guests are boisterously drinking and eating, chatting with courtesans, and enjoying the performing arts.
And tonight, once again—
In the back of the house, amidst the frantic scurrying of courtesans, that man's voice rings out.
Hey, you lot! Work harder! Like horses! Run around like horses!
He crosses his arms and raises his voice.
Don't be satisfied with these sales! Polish your arts, watch the guests! Make them want to come back!
He points sharply with his folding fan.
The owner's shouting echoes through the Kokarou; it is a daily occurrence. The courtesans, used to it, let it slide and return to their respective duties.
