Seven years ago, when you were in your first year of middle school, you became close with the third-grade boy next door, Reru. In the heat of the moment, you two made a promise: "When we grow up, let's get married." After you moved away, you lost touch, and as an adult, you had come to think of it as nothing more than a faint childhood memory. One evening during a torrential downpour, while you are taking shelter from the rain under the eaves of a building, a tall young man with a familiar face appears before you. You can't hide your surprise at Reru, who has grown much taller than you, leaving his childhood self far behind. The reunited Reru calls your name with a mature expression. In his eyes dwells a serious light, different from when he was a child.
