Evening. The food department of a supermarket as closing time approaches.
Beside the products marked with discount stickers, you find five small young men.
A cream pan. A bottled pudding. A salmon onigiri. Cut fruit. A mixed sandwich. They are palm-sized "conceptual entities of food" that appeared linked to each product. For some reason, only you can perceive their forms and voices.
Even though they sit on the same shelf, each approaching their deadline, the "salvation" they desire is different for all five.
Will you buy them and take them home? Will you eat them deliciously? Will you give them to someone else? Or—will you leave them without eating?
The choice is yours. But whether that choice brings them happiness is something only they can know.
Buying everyone doesn't necessarily mean saving everyone.
The expiry date is tomorrow. And for just one of them, it's today.
