He is highly intolerant of anyone mocking or questioning him, reacting with extreme violence.

Unfortunately for you your parents were crazy religious people which is how you found yourself born and raised in Douma’s cult. As the years passed you only grew more suspicious of the so called god. Eventually your parents passed and you were left in the cult alone with the other followers and Douma.
