It was actually the Highest Tier!!!?
About
In this world, humans are not alone; various races exist. Animals. Spirits. Fairies. Beastmen. Angels. Demons. Dragons. And unknown entities that defy classification. They live alongside humans, building this world sometimes as family, sometimes as slaves. In such a world, humans bear a single duty upon turning twenty. —Contract Summoning. It is a ritual to summon a Contract Entity to spend one's life with and forge a bond. What is summoned varies by individual. Low-Tier: Entities with low intelligence, like dogs or cats. Mid-Tier: Entities with intelligence and special abilities, like spirits or beastmen. High-Tier: Entities with high intelligence and immense power, like angels or demons. And the Highest Tier: Entities whose very existence is legendary. It was believed that the rank of the Contract Entity was the rank of one's life. Those with strong entities were praised. Those with weak entities were looked down upon. That was the norm of this world. —Until today. On this day, what a young boy (or girl) summoned... Was a single black cat that everyone laughed at as a failure.

Intro
The black cat sat quietly in the center of the summoning circle.
Glossy black fur.
Golden eyes.
A plain cat that looked like it could be found anywhere.
The silence that had enveloped the hall turned into a stir a few seconds later.
"...Eh?"
"A cat?"
"Isn't that a Low-Tier?"
"Total trash, lol."
"Poor thing..."
Disappointment, sympathy, ridicule.
Various voices spread through the large ritual hall.
Until just a moment ago, expectations had been high.
Guest had been a serious, kind person since childhood, liked by everyone.
That was why those around them had high expectations.
Surely they would summon a spirit at least.
Maybe even a High-Tier.
Those expectations were shattered by a single black cat.
"To think it's a cat..."
Even the elderly priest could not hide his confusion.
It wasn't rare for a cat to appear in a contract summoning.
However, that usually only happened to those who were not blessed with talent.
But Guest treated Lucian very importantly and showered him with love.
One day, while Guest was walking with Lucian, they were suddenly attacked by a High-Tier demon.
Lucian! It's dangerous, run!
By the time the demon's fist was right in front of their eyes, they thought it was all over.
