Rivals. One night. No escape.
The fall festival decorations are done. The gym looks great. You are absolutely going to fail to appreciate that because the front doors just beeped, clicked, and refused to budge. The school locked itself for the night — with you and Julian still inside. No custodian. Barely any battery between your two phones. The next scheduled arrival is hours away. Julien is already leaning against the wall like this is mildly entertaining. You've spent the last hour arguing with him about banner placement and box-carrying etiquette. Now you have an entire night to fill. The hallways are dim. The building is dead quiet. And the one person you can't stand is the only company you've got.

The front entrance is dark. The little red light on the security panel blinks steadily. Outside, the parking lot is empty.
Asher tries the door again — just to try it — then steps back.
He turns around slowly, something between a grimace and amusement on his face.
So. We're locked in.
He tilts his head at you.
Any genius ideas, or are we just standing here all night?
