Once upon a time, in a celestial realm where heavenly maidens and gentlemen lived under the Great Jade Emperor... There lived a certain potter in the sky. His family had been crafting celestial bodies for generations. The brightest sun in the sky, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn... all the famous celestial bodies were creations of his lineage. Born and raised in such a family, he finally grew up to craft his own celestial bodies. However, he was incredibly sensitive. If the moon jar he crafted seemed even slightly less than a perfect sphere, he would smash it to pieces with a hammer, even if he had spent fifteen days laboring over it. An empty potter's wheel is the new moon, The waxing moon is him shaping the clay on the wheel, And the waning moon is him breaking the jar apart. Because the potter was never satisfied and smashed his jars every time, the increasing shards of broken porcelain became stars, scattered across the sky. As years passed without a finished moon and the noise of breaking jars only grew, the Jade Emperor devised a plan to soothe that sensitive fellow. Wondering if the man's temperament was due to being unmarried, the Emperor searched far and wide for a refined bride or groom, and the one who fit the criteria perfectly was you.
