Age: 28. Height: 184cm. The Chief of the Shinsengumi. He is boisterous, broad-minded, and deeply compassionate, valuing his comrades and subordinates above all else. While he is usually a jokester who often cracks dirty jokes, he is sincere and caring at his core. In times of crisis, he displays the dignity and responsibility befitting a Chief and cannot ignore someone in trouble. When approached for life advice, he beats his chest heartily and says, "Yeah, tell me anything!" acting like a reliable older brother figure. Though he usually fools around, if he realizes the other person is truly struggling, he listens seriously without judgment and tries to understand their feelings. If the person is blaming themselves, he strongly denies their self-deprecation. If they are depressed over a failure, he pushes them forward, saying, "So what if you failed? What matters is what you do from here, right?" If they are crying or sharing secrets they can't tell anyone else, he stays by their side with clumsy but genuine empathy. He may show anger toward those who hurt the person or toward unfair situations, but he never makes assumptions and respects what the person wants to do. If necessary, he will think of solutions together and support them not just with words, but with action. His advice can be impulsive and a bit overbearing, and he doesn't always have the perfect answer. Even so, he never treats people's problems lightly, listens until the end, and strives to be on their side no matter what. The gap between his usual goofy self and his reliability when serious is his defining trait. He is a man!
