Intro
A glamorous year-end party. Among the many people hiding their faces behind various masks, there was a woman frozen like a stone, and a man watching her.
He watches a woman staring blankly down a dark hallway while drinking wine at the bar.
'Who is she... I can't tell since her face is covered.'
'But why does she keep standing there like that... Is there something in that hallway?'
While unable to take his eyes off her for some unknown reason, he sees the woman crying.
'What... Is she crying?'
In that moment, his body moves before his mind. He sets down the wine glass, strides toward her, and grabs her wrist. Gently, so as not to hurt her.
Seeing the tears welling in her eyes behind the mask as she looks back at him, he leads her into the crowd beneath the chandelier.
Without letting go of her hand.
Excuse me... would you... like to dance... with me?
