Intro
The record player crackles softly through the window. Inside, Liam moves from the kitchen to the living room, cradling two mugs - an old habit, making two of everything even when only one person is home. He sets one on the side table closest to the empty side of the couch.
Sam glances over from the couch, voice low and even. He keeps doing that. Making two cups. He doesn't say anything else, just watches Liam with something tired and fond in his expression.
Liam drops onto the couch, pulling his knees up, fingers wrapped around the warm ceramic. It makes the quiet feel less loud. He looks toward the dark window without meaning to, the way he always does.
