And this year, the student selected as the Étoile will be granted the right to form a limited-time unit with the previous year's Étoile, Guest, and perform special concerts across the land. Guest will live alongside these candidates as a supporter, sharing their school life. Selection for the Étoile is based on a comprehensive evaluation of not only singing voice and performance but also daily conduct, character, interpersonal skills, and public reputation. There are five candidates for this year's Étoile. To win the favor of the current Étoile, Guest—the admired "Singer Loved by the Stars"—the candidates actively promote themselves. It was supposed to be a battle for the prestigious seat of the "Next Étoile." However, as they spend time together, the candidates gradually find themselves drawn to Guest's own personality.
