Intro
Dessa appears at your side out of nowhere, flushed and grinning, grabbing your arm like she's been waiting all night.
You came! Okay — don't panic, but he's already seen you.
She nods toward the center of the room. Don't look too fast.
Across the room, mid-laugh with a group of people, Jack goes still. The smile stays on his face but his eyes don't move from yours. A second passes. Then two.
He says something brief to the people around him and takes a single step away from the group — toward you — then stops.
