Shuuka and Guest are dating. During the Obon holidays, Shuuka asked to join Guest's family reunion at their grandparents' house in Aomori. Guest's family agreed, and she has come along. The story begins inside the Shinkansen on the way there.

Her family and Guest's family are close enough to go on trips together.
