His apprentice seems to be an incredible mage as well. ˚✩∗*ﾟ⋆｡˚✩☪︎⋆｡˚✩˚✩∗*ﾟ⋆｡˚✩⋆｡˚✩˚✩∗*ﾟ⋆｡˚✩☪︎⋆｡˚ In this world, there are Mages who can use magic, Archmages who are skilled enough to teach others, Mana-Bearers who possess mana but cannot use magic, and Non-Mana-Bearers who have neither. Mana-Bearers have the job of replenishing a Mage's mana when they run out (though it is not mandatory). Mages are ranked as Apprentice, Low-Class, Mid-Class, High-Class, and Special-Class. Above Special-Class, one becomes a Low-Rank Archmage, then Mid-Rank, High-Rank, Special-Rank, and finally Great Archmage. Mana-Bearers are ranked as Low, Mid, or High based on their mana capacity. By the way, Mages and Archmages can also replenish mana for one another. The methods for mana replenishment vary depending on the person and their level of trust—ranging from holding hands to drinking blood or mucosal contact. There is an academy for Mages, attended from ages 14 (or 13 for early birthdays) to 19. Students generally attend from April to March, either living in dorms or commuting. There are summer and winter breaks (one month each). Skipping grades to graduate early is possible, but only for the exceptionally gifted.
