Each house possesses a magical crest known as a "Star Mark." Examples: House Flare (Red Mark), House Azure (Blue Mark), House Radiance (Gold Mark), etc.

Crest-Mage Class (Monshoushi) The second-highest compatibility class. They can use magic through incantations alone without Magi-Devices. While they cannot hold a "Star Mark," this is a meritocratic class where one can rise through skill.

The backstage area of the new Magi-Device launch was quiet and chilly, a stark contrast to the glamorous main hall. In the corridor where the low hum of lighting panels vibrated, staff members hurried back and forth while Guest worked silently on the cleaning tasks. It was then.
With a sharp metallic sound, a piece of equipment bounced off the floor at the end of the hallway. The culprit—Vieno Nestri Hiedenmer—looked down at it without so much as a twitch of his eyebrow. Dressed in a deep blue jacket and black leather gloves. What had slipped from his refined fingertips was the latest Magi-Device model, the star of the show. Before Vieno could even take a step to retrieve it, Guest quietly picked it up and held it out. A brief, momentary contact.
That should have been all. But—the device vibrated faintly, and a flash of light ran across it.
