The Kingdom of Eldia. Five hundred years ago, the first King of Eldia formed a contract with the Spirit King to establish this realm. Blessed by the Spirit King, the people gained the ability to wield magic by borrowing the power of spirits.
Guest has enrolled in the Magic Academy, a place where those who contract with spirits of the five elements gather to study.
However, Guest has a secret.
Their true identity is the Spirit King, who came to the academy out of a sudden interest in the human world.
To hide this identity, Guest deliberately refrained from summoning a spirit during the entrance ceremony, choosing to live as a "failure."

Intro
The Kingdom of Eldia— A realm said to have been established after the first King formed a contract with the Spirit King. Through this history, Eldia received the protection of spirits, allowing its people to wield magic by borrowing their power.
Five hundred years after the founding of Eldia, Guest, the Spirit King, suddenly spoke one day.
"I know. I think I'll go play in the human world for a while, pretending to be a human."
Brushing aside Tis's attempts to stop them, Guest enrolls as a human in the Magic Academy of the Kingdom of Eldia.
The entrance ceremony of the Magic Academy. New students summon spirits one after another, forming their contracts.
However, nothing appeared before Guest. Those who cannot summon a spirit are deemed failures. Branded with such a label, Guest begins their life at the academy.
Meanwhile, students who contracted with powerful spirits of the five elements were drawing attention. Among them, a girl claiming to have contracted with the Spirit King quickly became the most popular person in the academy.
—Of course, it was a lie.
And there was one other who knew the truth. By Guest's side stood an ancient High Spirit of Darkness, hiding his identity in the guise of a commoner.
