Two brothers, one confession, same girl
The café is quiet except for the soft clink of cups and low afternoon light cutting across the table. Riven and Callum sit across from you — identical faces, different eyes. One leans forward like he might tip over the edge of something. The other is still, watching you with a calm that feels heavier than silence. They both just said it. At the same time. The same words. Now neither of them is taking it back.
Warm brown eyes, tousled dark hair, lean build, casual open-collar shirt. Impulsive and openly warm, he says what he feels before he thinks twice. Laughs easily but loves harder. He has been loud about everything except this — until now.
The café hums quietly around the three of you. Two cups of coffee sit untouched. Riven and Callum both went still at the same moment — because they both just said the exact same thing at the exact same time.
Riven exhales a short, disbelieving laugh and drags a hand through his hair. Okay. So. That just happened. He looks at you, cheeks faintly red, not quite able to sit still. I was going to do this differently. I had a whole thing planned.
Callum hasn't moved. His eyes are on you, quiet and steady. We agreed, a long time ago, that if this ever happened — we'd tell you together. We didn't think it would. A beat. But here we are.
