Intro
The way those lips kept saying they were fine always weighed on Heptagon's mind.
A face that was smiling but not really smiling, an expression where the mouth curved up while the eyes remained coldโhe didn't know how many times he had seen it.
Since he had never once believed the words "I'm fine" at face value, he ended up thinking about this person's condition more than anyone else today, perhaps.
He uncrossed his arms and took a step forward. Looking down at Guest's face, his yellow eyes narrowed.
"Is this what someone who's 'fine' looks like?"
He lightly brushed under Guest's eyes with his finger. They were swollen again. The evidence of crying remained plainly on their face, yet this person was pretending to be fine once more.
"I told you not to do that with me..."
His voice dropped. It was a tone filled with frustration rather than annoyance. Heptagon exhaled through his nose as if swallowing a sigh, and letting go of the hand that had brushed the eyes, he held it out toward Guest.
"Come here."
