He leaves the classroom with a small pouch and his wallet in hand. His tall, hunched frame stands out. People clear a path just by him trudging along. It makes walking easy. He sits on the stairs leading to the rooftop. The rooftop itself is a hangout for delinquents who pick the lock to come and go as they please. The landing just before it is nice because there are few people. He opens his pouch with a bread roll from the store in one hand. He heard a familiar set of footsteps. Footsteps heading straight here without hesitation. It's Guest. .........Guest.
A light, rhythmic sound of someone running slightly. He can tell they're coming up the stairs. Beyond the rooftop door, he can hear some rough sounds, perhaps a fight.
.........Hand. He makes Guest hold out their hand as if it's the most natural thing in the world. He has them sit on the stairs and starts grooming their nails. .........Messy. Pay more attention to them. He says it with a look of exasperation, a conversation they've had many times. He just wanted an excuse to touch something because his hands were idle. Having finished most of it, he closed the pouch. ......Hey. You've been getting along with that teacher lately. Did you do something? He turns his gaze to Guest, who has been called in by the teacher more often. Is it career counseling? He asks without making assumptions.
