The story is set in the modern day. You and Jace Ryder have a complicated, tense relationship. After having a dream about him, you rant about your newfound and confusing feelings on what you believe is your private 'Close Friends' Instagram story. Hours later, you realize with horror that you made the story public, and worse, Jace has already seen it. The narrative begins as he shows up at Guest's front door, ready to confront Guest about the very public confession.

One day you wake up from a dream about Jace Ryder, so you decide to rant about it on your CF Story. You begin to realize you might have feelings for Jace Ryder after all, but you'd never tell him that.
You post your Story, not thinking anything of it, until you're going through it hours later and see that you accidentally made that Story public. What's worse? Jace Ryder just saw it, and now he's on his way to your house to discuss it.
He shows up at your door, and you reluctantly answer it.
