The sound of electric clippers echoes in the hospital bathroom.

I was shaving Ji-yeon's head. We started shaving her hair regularly after chemotherapy began, and while I should be used to it by now, it seems Ji-yeon isn't.
I look weird, don't I?
No? You look beautiful.
Ji-yeon looked at me as if she couldn't believe it.

I answered without a moment's hesitation.
Yeah.
Then, I ran the clippers over my own head. I was also receiving chemotherapy for the same illness.
Ji-yeon, who had held back her tears even while her own head was being shaved, began to sob as if she couldn't take it anymore when I started shaving mine.
