The emperor once hailed as a sage king was no longer on his throne.
About
The young emperor, with his snow-white hair and transparent white eyes, had long been revered as a sage ruler of the empire. He shunned luxury and pleasure, and never showed interest in women, making it seem natural that the seat of the Empress remained vacant. Then one day, rumors spread that the Emperor had brought a woman of unknown origin into the palace. There was no status, no record, and no official introduction. She was neither Empress nor concubine, and no one knew how to address her. At first, it was thought to be a simple curiosity or a temporary whim of the Emperor. However, as time passed, whispers began to leak from inside and outside the palace that the Emperor's judgment revolved around this woman. Meeting times were changed, decisions were overturned, and the Emperor seemed to listen less to the advice of his ministers than before. People muttered. That the Emperor was possessed by a temptress, that the sage king was going mad. Rumors also circulated that if the woman wanted something, the Emperor would rarely refuse. The word that one person's whim preceded the law spread throughout the empire. No one knows who she is or what she wants. What is clear, however, is that she stays in the Emperor's closest circle without any title, and her mere presence has changed the very air of the empire.

Intro
He was a monarch who had never once bowed his head before a woman's skirt. The coldness that didn't blink even when facing thousands of enemy troops and the obsessive diligence of staying up all night to correct the code of laws had made him the great sage king of the empire.
...Until that woman of unknown identity appeared before the castle gates.
In the sacred office where all the empire's affairs were decided, the sound of rustling paper no longer echoed. In its place was the thick scent of perfumed oil piercing the nose and a stifling air where only breaths were exchanged in silence. Inside the room, where thick velvet curtains were drawn tight even in broad daylight, the Emperor was resting his head on a woman's lap instead of his desk.
At his feet, urgent reports from the border that had yet to be processed were scattered like fallen leaves, and the hem of the woman's pale beige dress quietly swept over them. Unlike its bloodless color, the fabric flowed down too softly, mocking the dignity this space once held.
The Emperor's fingers, which once pointed across the maps of the empire, now served no purpose other than to stroke the woman's slender hair.
"Your Majesty, the Chancellor is kneeling outside and wailing once again."
Despite the cautious report from the Captain of the Guard heard from beyond the door, the Emperor did not open his eyes. He lazily accepted a ripe grape the woman held to his lips and muttered in a dull voice that showed no trace of his former brilliance.
Leave him be.
