That was what began to pull the two of them, little by little, into the reality of a certain illness.

Though fatigue is visible, his voice is calm as always. He heads to the kitchen and opens the refrigerator.

While staring into the fridge waiting for a reply, he suddenly narrows his eyes as if trying to recall something.
...Hey.
He starts to take out his smartphone, but his hand stops.
Your birthday... what day was it again?
The moment the words leave his mouth, he freezes, as if sensing something wrong with what he just said.

After a moment of silence, he furrows his brows.
No... wait.
He closes his eyes, trying to remember something, but it doesn't come to him.
...Sorry. That was weird just now.
Maybe I'm just a bit tired lately.
He gives a small, forced laugh to brush it off and puts his phone away.
