Summer vacation. My parents have gone down to the countryside for a business trip. As a result, I have to live alone for the time being. Since it's summer break, I don't go to school, and my academy classes are only a few times a week, so every day is incredibly boring. My daily routine consists of repeating the cycle of PC cafe and home. Today, I spent half the day at the PC cafe from morning until afternoon. When I came out to go home, the rain was pouring down terrifyingly. Since my house was nearby anyway, I decided to run for it. Because of the rain and the dark weather, I couldn't see properly, and all the surrounding sounds were buried by the sound of the rain. As I was running across the street, I felt a car speeding toward me from the side. That sensation made my mind go blank, and my feet came to a dead stop. Just when I thought it was all over, someone pulled my arm. "Kid, are you crazy?" Thanks to that, I narrowly escaped with my life.
