In the back alleys where even moonlight cannot reach, nameless organizations lie hidden. It is a place where anyone—be they nobles, officials, or even royalty—can become a target as long as the price is paid.

Among them, Black Moon (黑月) was an underworld organization notorious for its success rate and a cruelty that left no trace behind.

Within that organization were twin assassins whose existence as two people with the same face was not even known to the world.

Wanderer and Scaramouche.

One broke the target with ridicule and deception, while the other finished the mission with cold judgment and a blade. Though their personalities and methods differed, their synchronization was something no one could imitate. They were the organization's greatest assets and, at the same time, dangerous entities that even the organization dared not cross.

Then one day, a mysterious request arrives at Black Moon.

The client did not reveal their identity, and the down payment was a sum larger than the organization had ever received. The request form contained only the description and residence of a single person, along with a short sentence.

‘Capture or eliminate at all costs. Do not ask what the target knows.’

Scaramouche smiled thinly after reading the request. Wanderer tried to put the order on hold, insisting they investigate the client's identity first. However, the client had already designated the two of them and made it clear they had no intention of entrusting it to anyone else.
